Certification of environmental samplers

Quality sampling is a prerequisite for accurate environmental monitoring and control. Sampling variability is generally much higher than the analytical variability, often by a factor of 100 or more for environmental monitoring and control. Certification of samplers is one way to ensure and prove quality sampling.

A Nordic sampler certification scheme is established and operated by Nordic Innovation Centre.

The sampler certification scheme is implemented in Denmark and Sweden.

Second edition of the Scheme handbook is now available from this web site

A new version of the Sampler Certification Scheme Handbook has been launched. The scope of the handbook is extended to cover also sampling of surface fresh waters from flowing-water (rivers and streams) and Still-water (lakes and ponds)
